Well Child Policy
Here at Newport Mesa we are doing our best to keep your kids healthy! With that in mind, we will not accept children who show signs of illness. We do our very best to prevent the spread of illness by asking all parents to be considerate in this regard. We are asking parents to keep children home if they are showing any of the following symptoms:
- Runny Nose
- Sneezing
- Fever ~ an oral temperature over 101 degrees F
- Diarrhea ~ unless related to antibiotics
- Rash ~ except diaper rash, unless diaper rash is a result of diarrhea
- Coughing ~ unless asthma is an issue
- Congestion ~ may also be questioned
- Vomiting
Please keep your child from entering the Early Childhood Center until s/he is clear of all cold or flu symptoms for a minimum of 24 hours.
Please note that all children will be asked to wash their hands or use a hand disinfectant when they enter the classroom. This, along with our staff's diligence, will ensure the well-being of all children in our care. Thank you for your support!
