Led By The Spirit
Series: Paraclete

Romans 8:14
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. . . But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:16-18
Knowing God’s Word
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
The Spirit, not content to flit around on the surface, dives into the depths of God, and brings out what God planned all along. Who ever knows what you’re thinking and planning except you yourself? The same with God—except that he not only knows what he’s thinking, but he lets us in on it. God offers a full report on the gifts of life and salvation that he is giving us. We don’t have to rely on the world’s guesses and opinions. We didn’t learn this by reading books or going to school; we learned it from God, who taught us person-to-person through Jesus, and we’re passing it on to you in the same firsthand, personal way. 1 Corinthians 2:10-13
Doing God’s Will
Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. Romans 8:14
- Being vs. Doing
- Relationship vs. Answers
- Finding God’s Will vs. Following God’s Voice
Spiritually alive, we have access to everything God’s Spirit is doing, and can’t be judged by unspiritual critics. Isaiah’s question, “Is there anyone around who knows God’s Spirit, anyone who knows what he is doing?” has been answered: Christ knows, and we have Christ’s Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:15-16
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.
Psalm 143:10
