Brave Hearts Girls Ministry provides an environment of support and accountability for young girls while helping to develop their gifts and abilities. It is a discipleship program for girls, K-8th grade, where they are guided by godly women on a path to become mature and godly women. It’s where girls have fun, learn valuable life skills, develop Christ-centered relationships with other girls and with leaders, and grow in God.
Brave Hearts is made up of three levels, Little Hearts (K-1st grade), Discovery Hearts (2nd-4th grade), and Adventure Hearts (5th-8th grade).
Projects and adventures throughout the year include Marshmallow Fun Night, Christmas Caroling, Pinewood Derby Car Competition, Diva or “Spa”/Pajama Night, and Rawhide Ranch, equestrian weekend camp. Your daughter must be 7 years old to attend Rawhide Ranch.
To help offset the cost of the Brave Hearts program there is a Registration Fee of $25.00 per semester for each girl ($50 a year). This fee pays for weekly dues, crafts and supplies, activities, Shopping Mall, and awards. Fees for the Brave Hearts uniform and bag, Pinewood Derby Car, Diva Night and Rawhide Ranch are not included. The Registration Fee is due on the second visit to Brave Hearts. Girls will have the opportunity to bring an offering each week to go toward various mission projects, community needs, service projects, etc.
Each night begins with a craft. The purpose of the craft is to provide an activity for the girls to have fun while other girls are still arriving. At 6:45 the craft time is wrapped up and all the Brave Hearts come together for Opening Ceremonies. Following the Opening Ceremony, we split into individual age groups (Little Hearts, Discovery Hearts, and Adventure Hearts) and move through the planned activities for the evening.
While Brave Hearts incorporates lots of fun activities on Wednesday nights, biblical training is included, as well, in our small group Bible studies. The groups are small, making it easier for each girl to participate in discussions. The small group sessions always end in a circle of prayer with the goal to help teach the girls how to pray for their friends’ and their family’s needs. And to teach them about the power of prayer and that their prayers do make a difference. At the heart and core of the program is the goal to see every girl moving toward a deep relationship with Jesus Christ.
