Spiritual Formation Small Groups

Find Freedom

God’s Word is a living, breathing document that we cherish.  We desire to know what God says in His Word and how it impacts our lives.  Through gathering in a small group, we learn together through study, dialogue, spiritual rhythms, relationship and experience.  Ultimately, our desire is to grow in our relationship with Jesus and others!

Teaching through the book of Acts and Psalms.
This is a Bible Study group which focuses on Spiritual Formation. Joe is teaching through the book of Acts and Renee is teaching through the book of Psalms. The group has a teaching and discussion format and includes a time of prayer and sharing. It is open to anyone in any age group that wants to grow spiritually and develop friendships. We believe that the Word of God inspires us to hope and life and growth so we work through our understanding of it in relationships, discussion, and practical ways. We hope to aspire and inspire!
The group meets yearly and is open to new people at any time. We look forward to meeting you!

Adult Bible Discussion
Sundays, 10:30 - 11:45 AM
Physical meetings on hold - No Zoom Group
In our Bible study sessions we have a handout with questions related to the text. Anyone is free to speak to the subject with comments or questions. We begin our sessions with praise reports and prayer, and a hymn. Besides our regular Bible study, we occasionally invite a guest speaker from our church, Vanguard or an Assemblies of God Missionary. Members of our class are valued and bless us all by sharing their stories on a particular Sunday. Outside of our regular Sunday group we gather bi-monthly in someone's home for a book discussion. We enjoy our times of fellowship over meals and special occasions.

This group studies the book of Daniel verse by verse.
This year we will study the second half, chapters 7 through 12, as we learn what the vision that God gave to Daniel means for us in the future. It is the prophetic portion of the book sprinkled with symbolism that we will unpack as the study unfolds. We begin with worship and the lesson and then finish our time with lunch and praying for one another’s needs. All ages are welcome!

We will be going through “Rooted,” an experience that explores your unique plan and purpose which includes the idea of hearing God speak to you and engaging you in a profound experience with Jesus. You will see yourself as an important person in the community which listens and supports you. Rooted is a catalyst for life-change where going back to the basics helps us to get centered in what we believe and how God can use us! The benefit of going through Rooted with people who are similar in age and life stage is that it allows you to form deep and meaningful relationships with your peers. This is a place where you will be heard, supported and encouraged as we journey together through the rhythms and practices that form the basis of the Rooted experience.

While the pandemic requires us to meet on Zoom, we will be spending time sharing Scripture, praying and supporting one another.  When we can resume physical gatherings, we will go back to our Rooted study.
